| Welcome to our Modern Jewish Jerusalem-We're back after 2000 years. |
|
Greater Ramot Eshkol has a mixed bag of Israelis and Orthodox non-Israelis. A local population of over 30,000 residents, many are light Orthodox, many are standard religious and a growing population of Western orientated very religious families. Our Bet Knesset caters to the Modern Orthodox-Bnei Akiva family who enjoys a serious and moving Hebrew prayer service, a Shabbat Kiddush and a variety of deep and academic Shiurim-in Hebrew, both on Shabbat and during the week. and a warm family-like community of support, respect and contact. Rabbi Dr, Aryeh Strikovsky, our spiritual and learned leader is the magnet that attracts many Israelis who want a deeper and clearer understanding of Judaism, Religion , history and our sources. He gives two shuirim a week. A large proportion of the kehilla (congregation) speaks English, French or Russian. Our woman's half of the Shule is able to help any new immigrant or visitor with personal questions, advice and support. The Kehilla has a semi-professional security team on duty during the tefillot. |
